International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Inclusion and Experiences, 05.12.2022

Saturday December 3rd was the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.

Since 1993, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities has taken place every year worldwide on the initiative of the United Nations. It is intended to raise awareness of the concerns of people with disabilities and to affirm full participation in all areas of life. At the same time, the day of action points out that people with disabilities are still disadvantaged in our society.

We as the Diversity Service Office want to promote visibility and believe that raising awareness is essential for a change towards a more inclusive university. For this reason, we invite university members with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses to share their experiences of studying, working and living at UBT. We will gather the experience reports on our website after an initial collection phase.

For more information on writing and submitting a report of your experiences (as well as to find the experience reports in the future), please visit our Inclusion webpage. We are looking forward to receiving your report!

Inclusion concerns us all. Increase your awareness.
